6 Nabbed After Fight Breaks Out Near Hofstra University In Uniondale

A group of men were all arrested after at least two people were stabbed or slashed when a fight broke out near a college.

It happened in Uniondale on Wednesday, June 19, according to Nassau County Police.

At around 4:20 p.m. that day, an altercation occurred between two men outside of 1000 Hempstead Turnpike, on the outskirts of the Hofstra University campus.

The fight soon escalated, with four other men reportedly joining in.

One victim was slashed in the back of the thigh and another was cut on their ear before police intervened and arrested the following people:

  • Isaiah Moore, age 19 of Uniondale;
  • Devon Moore, age 19 of Hempstead;
  • Taiwan Jackson, age 23 of Hempstead;
  • Unique Pruitt, age 21 of Hempstead;
  • Devon Fenner, age 18 of Hempstead; and
  • Zachariah Fulton, age 19 of Hempstead.

All six are charged with attempted gang assault, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon.

Authorities said each of the men is due to be arraigned at Hempstead’s First District Court on Thursday, June 20.
